Description
From our Fine Arts collection: Cupid subdues his enemy by grabbing one of his ears, hence the phrase “Omnia Vincit Amor”, latin for “Love conquers all”. Spot on representation of the power of love if you ask us.
“Omnia Vincit Amor” is a quote from the Roman poet Virgil (70 – 19 BCE) which inspired the painting “Cupid and Pan”, attributed to Federico Zuccaro (Italian, about 1541 – 1609) depicted in this design.
